    •  Screening medical cases for merit 

     Many times there are more potential cases submitted than you, as a medical attorney, realistically have the time to review.  Whether potential plaintiff or defense case, Julie is specially trained as a CLNC® to recognize the essential components of a meritorious case. Based upon review of the client's medical record, she is qualified to locate and report the presence or absence of these components.  Following review, her opinion as to merit or lack of same is shared with the attorney in a clear and understandable manner. As a result, time and money are saved as non-meritorious cases are kept out of the legal system and out of your practice.

 

    • Composition of brief summary reports, comprehensive narratives and extensive medical chronologies 

     Each case and each attorney brings individual needs and/or preferences regarding the type, style and extent of the report requested.  As a result, it is the desire of J. R. Gunn and Associates to clarify such needs and preferences with the attorney prior to composition of the report.  This avoids wasted time and effort for both parties.  Additionally, such communication allows your case to move forward without unnecessary delays that may  result from misunderstandings.

    • Location of specific standards of care     

         Unfortunately, specific medical standards of care are not accessible through a standard internet search.  Realizing not everyone is comfortable with identifying such healthcare standards, Julie will pinpoint those standards and apply them to the issues of the case.  This allows the legal staff of your practice to direct their energies exclusively to the legal aspects of that same case.
